I finally received the MooseMoney.com stickers I ordered from the Internet.

I quickly realized I ordered way more than I can realistically give away in person, especially since I mostly work from home.

So, if you would like one of those bad babies, just hit the REPLY button and give me your postal address.

If you do so, I will drop a couple of stickers in an envelope, send it to you, and I’ll even pay for the stamp!

Before I let you read all the amazing deals and money hacks my team and I uncovered this week, I also wanted to reply to the questions some of you emailed me last week

Lisa asked me: “I need a credit card with great rewards that has trip cancellation insurance and other great bonuses. Any ideas?”

One card that comes to mind is the Neo World Elite Mastercard. It has a full suite of travel insurance (not offered to Quebec residents), including trip cancellation, and offers 5% cash back on groceries, 4% on recurring payments, 3% on gas, and 1% on everything else. While it does have a $125 annual fee, MooseMoney subscribers who secure the card through this link will get a $60 welcome bonus. That said, the Neo World Elite Mastercard’s coverage is limited to 15-day trips. If you plan to take longer trips (or you live in Quebec), you should consider the National Bank World Elite Mastercard. While its annual fee is higher at $150 and it offers points rather than cash back, it provides the strongest set of travel insurance of any card and covers trips of up to 60 days.

Tommy asked me: “How do I get a loan with a 465 credit score?”

To be honest, it will be hard to get a loan with your credit score, and if a lender actually offers you a loan, they will probably charge you so much fees and interest it won't be worth it. Even subprime lenders, whose interest rates are really high, typically don’t lend money to people with a credit score under 600. As a result, your only option is probably a payday loan, but before you go this route, please read this article of one of our collaborators who actually went through the experience.

Linda asked me: “Pickle Barrel used to offer free meals for Remembrance Day Day, but they are now closed. Do you know which places offer veterans free meals or discounts on Nov. 11? ”

Actually, while your local Pickle Barrel might have closed, they still have 7 locations in Ontario and they will offer a free two-course lunch to veterans on Nov. 11. On top of that, Red Lobster will give veterans a free shrimp & chips and some Denny’s locations will offer veterans a free breakfast

Aeroplan Points Expiry Extended by Another Year

If you have Aeroplan points expiring over the next 12 months, we have some good news for you! Aeroplan just announced that points that would have expired between November 30, 2025 to November 30, 2026, won't. Points usually expire if there has been no account activity for 18 consecutive months, so this is beneficial for those of you who might not have flown in a while (or might have just been lazy and forgotten about their points). It's still a good idea to make some sort of transaction between now and then, and especially after November 30, 2026, since this is just a temporary pause and their normal policy will be reinstated then. Qualifying activity to keep your account active includes: earning, redeeming, donating and transferring points.

Canadian Keurig K-Cup Pods Buyers Could Get Up to $50 From a Settlement

If you’ve bought Keurig K-Cup pods or a Keurig brewer in Canada since June 8, 2016, you might be eligible for a payout from a new class-action settlement. The lawsuit claims Keurig misled consumers by advertising its pods as recyclable when many cities didn’t accept them. Canadians who file a valid claim could receive up to $7 without proof of purchase, or up to $50 with receipts for K-Cups. Those who also bought a Keurig brewer may be eligible for up to $25 per brewer (with proof of purchase). The settlement is awaiting court approval on December 8, 2025, after which details on how to file a claim will be posted online. If you think you qualify, keep your receipts handy and watch for updates on the official settlement website.

Peeling Paint on Your car? You Could Qualify For a Class-Action Lawsuit

If your car's paint job is chipping, bubbling, peeling or just generally looking worse for wear, don't fork over a bunch of money for a repair job just yet. Driving.ca recently compiled a list of class-action lawsuits in Canada awaiting certification or authorization related to significantly deteriorating paint. The affected vehicles include some models from Nissan, Honda, Kia, Hyundai and Acura. White, metallic and pearlescent paint finishes seem to be the most affected, so if you're buying a new or used car soon, it'd be wise to stay away from these colours and finishes.
